National Poetry Day Message Poem by Lily Courie

Dear Ocean,
.
The sand between my toes,
The wooshing sound of your waves
Clashing against the rocks.
Every day I see boats
On your beautiful, azure surface.
But… I am so, so sorry
For all your fishy friends
That might be getting sick
Because of the crisp packet
I dropped in the sea earlier.
.
Sorry.
.
