A-Z Challenge Blog Theme Reveal!

Every year since 2012 I have taken part in a blog challenge which can be rather gruelling… a post a day throughout April, discounting Sundays. Each day the theme is illustrated by a succeeding letter of the alphabet, starting, of course, with A.

Every year I have done Amazing Animals as my theme – this year is going to be different. To chime with the arrival of my latest book, Reaching the Stars, Poems about Extraordinary Women and Girls, written with Jan Dean and Michaela Morgan, the posts will be about extraordinary women and girls.

Jan and Michaela will be writing some of the posts as guest bloggers – they are both feisty and interesting women, I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to say – and seeing you all here during the challenge!

Good luck to all the other A-Zers!

    • Hello, John! I couldn’t find the page to post the link reveal on though, on the A-Z pages… I became very confused…

      • The page is here: http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2017/03/the-great-and-powerful-to-z-challenge.html

I think a lot of people are probably just going with Facebook and Twitter, though. The blog page was more for the folks who don’t do either of them; I was all for just going with the social media, myself…

      • Oh, I see, you reveal in the comments… sadly I can’t comment on a Blogger blog, so that’s me out… it’s quite hard to read, as well, isn’t it?

I always advertise on Facebook and Twitter because my blog posts there, but most of my readers and commenters come from the blogging community on the challenge, so this will really affect me I think.

The page you sent us to on your post did not format properly for me so I found it hard to read, too! Although I did sign up.

Hope it’s going to be worth it this year, I always look forward to it so much!

      • If you just remember to put the #atozchallenge hashtag in the title of your post, people will find them more easily on both FB and Twitter. They can do a search on it. Arlee had a good article on it today; think I’ll cut and paste it so everyone can read it…

      • Thanks, John, I’ll do that – my titles are very long this year lol!

Glad to have you back. Follow the advice that John Holton gave you in his comment as well as the info posts at the A to Z Blog and you’ll have a lot of options for getting word out about your posts. I’ve also added your link to my own personal site list which you can find at Tossing It Out.

You’ll get the hang of it all I’m sure.

Good luck with the challenge this year, Liz. I’ve decided not to participate, mainly because the changes will eat into too much precious time. But, I’ll visit your posts as much as possible. 🙂
