#Suffragette100 and Reaching the Stars!
Reaching the Stars, Poems about Extraordinary Women and Girls, was written to chime with the 100th anniversaries of the work by suffragists from every walk of life. Today – when Doritos have just produced a special crisp for our delicate mouths and Bic have in the past couple of years made pink pens for our flimsy lady fingers, and women in all walks of life are STILL receiving less pay than men while doing the same jobs, it sometimes feels as if not a lot has changed.

Jan Dean, Michaela and I had enormous fun writing this book and have huge admiration for all the women and girls we read about as we researched this book. Truly extraordinary.
